Sarah Mycek, OTR/L

Owner

Sarah has an extensive background in sensory processing disorders, motor coordination disorders, nutrition, and feeding. She uses a holistic wellness approach when working with families and is a doTERRA certified Essential Oil Specialist. She is passionate about parent education and provides trainings to parents and other clinicians about the benefits of OT, sensory integration, and integrative health. She has over 30 years of experience as a pediatric occupational therapist combined with over 15 years of experience in integrative functional approaches to healthcare and therapy.
 
Sarah serves on the Board of Directors for Shore Community Services in Skokie, IL. Shore's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities through educational, residential, vocational and other related programs provided with community integrated supports and services.
 
Sarah grew up in Michigan and graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy. She has lived in the Chicago area since 1997 and is married with 2 children. She loves to cook and is always trying new recipes. She spends much of her free time researching complementary healthcare and alternative therapy techniques.

 

 

Kennedy Marker, M.S., OTR/L

Kennedy is an occupational therapist with a passion for working with and supporting children and families in the community and home environments. She has an extensive background in sensory processing, gross and fine motor coordination disorders, feeding and social emotional development, and enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to best support her clients! 

Kennedy has furthered her professional experience through a wide variety of continuing education opportunities including, but not limited to, reflex integration, myofunctional therapy and sensory and motor-based feeding disorders. She has worked with a wide variety of children from birth to early adulthood supporting their independence in daily activities!  

Kennedy graduated from Saginaw Valley State University where she played Varsity volleyball and received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. She enjoys cooking, hiking and playing volleyball in her spare time!
